Bentley Continental GT, GTC Azure, Flying Spur S and Flying Spur Speed get trim and styling updates in spring refresh

Bentley has revealed a range of updates for a number of its popular models, with a focus on exterior styling updates and luxurious interior appointments with an eco-conscious edge.

The Bentley Continental GT Azure and GTC Azure, models which Bentley considers as comfort-orientated models ‘diametrically opposed’ to the high-performance S and Speed models, get a bold vertical-vane grille inspired by the Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure. The 22-inch ten-spoke wheels previously fitted to the Flying Spur are now standard-fit across all Azure models.

Inside, each gets a new ‘lofted quilted pattern’ for its leather panels and seats. The luxury focus of the Azure models is further emphasised by the addition of new deep-pile 100% woolen overmats, created from wool specially selected for its softness, cleanliness and purity of colour. These sit atop standard cabin mats that are now produced from 100% recycled nylon, rather than the virgin material item used previously.

Changes have also be made to Bentley’s Speed range. Exterior brightwork is now available in optional Granite grey, while the straight-vane grille is substituted for a 1920s-inspired matrix item. These can be specified alongside a new exterior colour, Topaz Blue, a blend of blue and green that’s offered across all models.

All Continental GT and Flying Spur models can now also be specified with a dark-tinted, diamond-brushed aluminium technical finish for fascias and waistrails, as previously introduced on the larger Bentayga. Bentley says this finish is intended to evoke its matrix grille and is produced by brusing the material from multiple directions to ‘achieve a contemporary three-dimensional effect’.

There are no mechanical or range changes to report as part of Bentley’s additions: the wider Continental range still comprises the Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur, each availalbe in standard, Azure, S, Speed and Mulliner trim.
