Jaguar has given its I-Pace electric car a light refresh, with subtle styling updates and the introduction of a new 400 Sport version
This is the latest iteration of the Jaguar I-Pace, lightly updated for 2023 in a bid to keep pace with rivals in the ever-evolving executive EV market. Attention has been focussed on updating the car’s looks and improving kit levels, along with the introduction of R-Dynamic models and a new range-topper, the 400 Sport.
The new I-Pace looks largely familiar but has gained a sleeker finish thanks to a smoothed-off ‘sheild’ grille finished in grey, plus body-colour front bumper trim, lower door trim and rear diffuser. Diamond-turned alloy wheels feature alongside a new ‘Style 5069’ wheel in satin grey with carbon inserts. A choice of two new satin grey paints is also offered.
The new 400 Sport range-topper will only be sold in the UK and adds a host of standard equipment to the mix, including a boot spoiler, adaptive air suspension and black ‘Style 5056’ wheels. The 400 Sport also gets slimline performance seats as standard, finished in Windsor leather and with 14-way adjustment.
The I-Pace remains unchanged mechanically, with a dual-motor configuration putting out 395bhp for a 0-62mph time of just 4.5 seconds, while 100kW DC charging is supported for quick top-ups on the go. Claimed range is 292 miles from the car’s 90kWh battery.
The new I-Pace is available to order now. The revised range starts with the R-Dynamic S, priced from £69,995, climbing through R-Dynamic SE Black (£73,495) and R-Dynamic HSE Black (£77,495), before topping out with the 400 Sport at £79,995. Those with ‘Black’ in the name get a new standard package of black details, including grille surround, window surrounds, mirror caps and rear badging.
